Kama Sutra Practices
for Singles and Couples
According to Ancient Indian Philosophy, Life was organized around three essential drives: the first was the maintain itself through nourishment and the acquisition of material necessities ; the second was to ensure its survival through procreation; and the third to establish roles that allowed the species to build a framework to maintain its society. Within the established roles, rules of conduct and guidelines for behavior were born. These three activities were known as the "Three Aims of Life" and were translated through "sutras", doctrines or principles, which were studied and memorized and practiced accordingly. The Three Aims became Artha (guidelines to ensure survival through material means); Dharma ( morality, rules of conduct to construct social relations); and Kama (guidelines to realize
the erotic and sexual nature).
The Kama Sutra is essentially a technical guide to sexual enjoyment and other sensual pleasures. It also contains profound historical and anthropological insights into the mores and customs of ancient India.
Kama Sutra Practices offered by the Goddess Shanti will be a combination of both teaching and experiential work. The goals are threefold: the first is to teach and instruct you in the specific techniques so the he or she will realize the wealth of sexual power that is stored within; the second is to help build confidence in your ability to express yourself sexually, and the third is to help you develop the courage to embrace and powerfully embody your sexuality as an innate part of your Divine nature.
